RTTN

Molecular characteristics

RTTN is a gene involved in the production of cilia, a structure in the cell that helps it to proliferate and migrate to its correct place. This gene is essential for the normal structural development of the brain. It may also be important in other structures of the body, such as the bones and kidneys, and thus essential for normal growth and development. A mutation in this gene can lead to birth defects, as described in the previous sections.
