TBC1D24

Parents

TBC1D24-related disorders are very rare genetic conditions that are usually diagnosed in children of healthy parents.

One exception is an extremely rare form of heritable hearing loss (DFNA65) that can be passed down from one generation to the next and that has been observed in only two families.

Children and adults with a TBC1D24-related disorder can have many different symptoms ranging from a mild form of epilepsy to more severe conditions with hearing loss, intellectual disability and difficult to control seizures.
