The key clinical features involve alterations in the shape of the skull, due to early fusion of some of the gaps between the skull bones (known as craniosynostosis). There can also be abnormalities in the development of the brain and spine. Most affected individuals have some degree of developmental delay and learning difficulties, ranging from mild to severe.
