CD55-deficiency is a rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by bi-allelic mutations in the CD55 gene. Patients present with gastrointestinal manifestations, including protein-losing enteropathy leading to hypoalbuminemia, edema and hypogammaglobulinemia, diarrhea, abdominal pain, malnutrition and susceptibility to thrombotic events.
