DOCK6 is a gene that produces a protein involved in regulation of other proteins called GTPases, which transmit signals that are important in embryonic development, especially the development of the limbs, skull, and heart. Mutations in DOCK6 decrease the activity of GTPases and leads to the clinical manifestations described in the Clinical Characteristics section.
