A child with either TBS or ZLS will need a full pediatric developmental assessment to determine which therapies they may benefit from. Such therapies may include occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and/or speech therapy.
Epilepsy is very common in this group of disorders. Caregivers should alert their child’s doctor if they are at all concerned about the possibility of seizures so that anticonvulsant medication may be considered to help with brain function and learning.
