Patients diagnosed with a causal KIF4A variant should undergo complete assessment for organ anomalies and function, including brain MRI, abdominal (particularly kidney and liver) ultrasound as well as echocardiography. Eye and ENT exam. Since there is currently no long term experience with patients, regular yearly surveillance of kidney function may be judicious.
