Clinical Characteristics

Mutations in the LRPAP1 gene may cause the following signs and symptoms:

  • High myopia (severe near-sightedness with a refractive power of ≥ -6.00 diopters)
  • Increased distance between the anterior surface of the cornea and the fovea
  • Decreased visual acuity
  • Retinal detachment
  • Chorioretinal atrophy
