Management

(1) A (pediatric) ophthalmologist as impairment of the visual system was frequent and early therapy may be required to avoid amblyopia
(2) A (pediatric) otolaryngologist as hearing impairment should be treated early with hearing aids or cochlear implants
(3) Gastroenterological evaluation for feeding problems and gastroesophageal reflux disease
(4) Nephrology assessment including kidney ultrasound is recommended to detect structural abnormalities early that may predispose to urinary tract infections and/or subsequent renal damage; prophylactic treatment and follow-up by a renal specialist may be indicated
(5) Evaluation of the skeletal system for malformations, which may require orthopedic management
(6) Regular neurodevelopmental and neurological follow-up
