NF2

Management

NF2-related schwannomatosis is managed by annual neurologic, hearing and ophthalmology examination and annual brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) from age ten.
There is currently no cure for NF2-related schwannomatosis, but symptomatic tumours are primarily treated with surgery. The vascular epidermal growth factor (VEGF) antibody, bevacizumab, has also been used to treat rapidly growing vestibular schwannomas.
