ANE syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive disease defined by heterogeneous clinical features of variable severity including hair loss, malformations in the face, hair and skin abnormalities, intellectual disability, and hormonal deficiencies which may cause delay in puberty. As of 2022, only six individuals from two families have been reported in the literature.
