Main clinical features of SOX4-related disorders are developmental delay at variable degrees (from severe to mild), intellectual disability, a peculiar facial appearance and mild hand abnormalities. Stature is below average. Other problems, such as epilepsy and heart defects, can be present. We do not know why clinical severity can be so different among patients.
