Currently, there is no known specific treatment for Lamb-Shaffer syndrome. However, early intervention and educational programs can optimize learning and social development, and medications can help manage specific symptoms.
Paediatrician supervision, developmental assessment, and ophthalmologic evaluation are recommended for children with SOX5-related disorders. Patients with seizures should be referred to a paediatric neurologist to ensure appropriate treatment. Management of behavioural problems, neurological disturbances and skeletal malformations may require adapted care or treatment.
