The Greenway lab at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (stevengreenwaylab.com) studies the function of DNAJC19 and seeks to understand the mechanism of disease in DCMA and identify potential therapeutics. To do this, we utilize patient fibroblasts and patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) differentiated into cardiomyocytes. We then study mitochondrial structure and function and cellular metabolism.
