No problems during pregnancy or delivery

Seizures develop in the first year of life
Progressive loss of motor abilities and of developmental skills already attained
Prevalence of the disorder is not known
Inheritance – autosomal recessive (both copies of the gene have a mistake that interferes with normal function)
