Currently there is no cure for Atelís syndrome. However, heart abnormalities and bone marrow failure should be monitored. There may be a possibility of affected patients developing lung disease and a specific type of blood cancer. However, it is not clear whether these clinical features are common to patients with Atelís syndrome.
