Mutations in the gene called RAB11A can lead to a disorder characterized mainly by learning disabilities, delays in the child’s development, problems with movement, distinct facial features, and possibly other problems affecting behaviour, vision, the digestive system and the heart. Some patients could have early puberty and/or seizures.
